Castor oil, derived from the Ricinus communis plant, is a versatile ingredient in personal care and pharmaceutical products, and an integral part of our soap making formulation here at Starlite Soap Studio. Its emollient and humectant properties moisturize and condition skin and hair.

Our Castor Oil USP is expeller pressed, hexane-free, non-GMO, and refined for high-quality performance in personal care, soap, and pharmaceutical formulations. It's light-coloured and neutrally scented.

WHAT IS USP? 

USP (United States Pharmacopeia) is a high-quality, pure castor oil that meets specific standards set by the USP, ensuring it is safe for medicinal, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic use. USP-grade castor oil is often used as a laxative, but it also has a wide range of applications in skincare and hair care due to its hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties.
