REFUNDS/EXCHANGES

With 72 hours advance notification, Starlite Soap Studio allows for free re-booking of a workshop. We are sorry, but we cannot offer refunds. 

CANCELLATIONS and NO-SHOWS

For cancellations and no-shows, we do not offer refunds, but you are welcome to transfer your seat to somebody else for the same event.  Alternately, you may wish to arrange a "make at home" kit so you can complete your project at home. 

RUNNING LATE?

If you are running late for a workshop, please contact us as soon as possible. Your spot and materials will be ready for you and you can join the class. If you are really late, you just may not have enough time to finish your project. The instructor will do all possible to assist you, but refunds cannot be offered if you can't catch up.

 

COVID-19 UPDATE, NOVEMBER 2020

AT THIS TIME, ALL SCHEDULED WORKSHOPS ARE CONTINUING AS PLANNED, USING STRICT COVID-19 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR YOUR SAFETY AND OURS. 

For everyone's safety, we closely adhere to the BC Ministry of Health Guidelines. Our workshops take place in a safe, segregated retail setting and we closely follow recommended Covid-19 safety precautions. 

The wearing of protective face masks is now mandatory in BC, and we request that you wear your mask within the Good Planet store, and during the full duration of the Starlite Soap Studio workshop.  Your mask may be temporality removed while seated and selecting scents for your products. 

A LETTER EMAILED TO STARLITE CUSTOMERS HOLDING BOOKINGS FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2020:

November 20th, 2020

Dear Starlite Soap Studio customer:

Following yesterday’s Covid-19 update from the BC Ministry of Health, we want to offer some reassurances on the status of your upcoming workshop, the level of safety within that workshop, and your postponement options.
ALL SCHEDULED WORKSHOPS ARE EXPECTED TO GO AHEAD AS PLANNED.

Our workshops are Covid-19 safe. With two metres of separation between each of the maximum four participants, compulsory wearing of face masks, enhanced sanitization and minimal touchpoints, we have made every effort to ensure that you will feel safe in the environment.

Although we are not in a position to offer refunds, we want you to feel secure that your expenditure on a Starlite workshop is safe until you feel comfortable attending.  Therefore, your options are as follows:
  1. If you can give us at least seven days’ notice, you may postpone any scheduled workshop to a later date. Your re-booking will be valid at any time in 2021, and a unique discount code will allow you to choose the date and type of workshop online. Easy! 
  2. Your booking may be exchanged for a make-at-home kit!  Within the coming week or two, we will have new soap, lotion and candle kits available for purchase on our website. We can provide you with a unique discount code that will allow you to exchange your workshop for one of these kits. 
  3. Your booking is fully transferable. If you feel that under your personal circumstances, the risk of coming downtown and attending a workshop is unwise, you may transfer your booking to any friend, colleague or family member.  Just drop us a line with the name and email address of the new participant. 
  4. You may exchange your pre-booked workshop for a gift certificate valid for any available workshop or kit.  The gift certificate does not expire. This could be a fun holiday or birthday gift! 
In conclusion, we would again like to thank you for your support of our small business. Covid-19 has been a challenge for everyone, but we look forward to getting through this crisis with our economy, our business, our health and our good humour intact!

NOTES REGARDING WORKSHOP POSTPONEMENTS DURING THE COVID-19 "FIRST WAVE" OF MARCH 2020: 

We sent emails to all Starlite customers who had their workshops postponed due to the March 2020 Good Planet COVID-19 temporary shutdown.
In these messages, we advised an easy, online method of re-booking. If you were impacted by a workshop postponement but did not receive these emails, please check your "promo," "spam" or "trash" folders in case your security settings are set a little on the high side.  Or email us at hello@starlitesoapstudio.com for a re-send of the details. 
For those prepaid customers who are not yet ready to venture into retail spaces, and would like to wait a while longer, there's no problem! Your booking is "on ice" until you decide that it is safe to re-book. For those prepaid customers who do not want to attend under any circumstance, you may wish to accept our offer of a "make at home" kit. Details are included in the above-mentioned email, which was sent out on the afternoon of May 23rd, 2020. 
Our re-scheduled workshops are just as much fun as before, and we have taken extra steps to ensure your safety by reducing the workshop size from 8 to just 4 people, assuring a 2-metre safe separation between customers. There is more sanitization, and minimal sharing of containers or equipment.
