WATERMELON SOAP - ADVANCED WORKSHOP (16+)

Ready to add a splash of creativity to your soap-making skills?

Join us for our fun and summery Watermelon Soap Workshop! We'll build upon the basics from our Beginner's Soap Making Workshop, introducing new techniques to help you create a beautiful block of cold process soap, crafted with a carefully formulated blend of soap oils and sodium hydroxide. Soothing, gentle, luxurious, and great to look at!

Inspired by the vibrant hues and refreshing scent of summer's favorite fruit, this hands-on class will guide you through crafting your own watermelon-themed cold process soap.

What to Expect:

• Layered Design Techniques: Learn to create the iconic green rind, white pith, and juicy pink flesh using natural colourants.
• Exfoliating Additives: Incorporate poppy seeds to mimic watermelon seeds, adding a gentle exfoliating touch to your soap.
• Fragrance Choices: Explore combining watermelon fragrance oils to achieve a refreshing, fruity aroma that captures the essence of summer.
• Customization: Or choose your own colours and scents to personalize your soap, making it uniquely yours.

This workshop is perfect for both beginners and seasoned soap makers looking to expand their skills. All materials are provided, and you'll leave with a 3 lb block of your handcrafted watermelon soap.

• This is an adult-oriented workshop, not recommended or suitable for children under the age of 16.
• We suggest you arrive at least five minutes prior to the posted workshop start time.
• The workshop is held at Starlite Soap Studio, 620 Courtney St, Victoria, BC V8W 1C1 (between Government & Douglas)

WHAT TO WEAR:

Come as you are, but we suggest you wear closed-toe shoes and a long-sleeved shirt.
