A itty-bitty evergreen tree, Key Lime yields a tart fruit resembling Lemon and full of citrusy goodness...but minus the ascorbic acid. It's got a powerful, sugary scent, and gets its fame from Columbus who brought it back to Europe. Sailors on British ships slurped it up to dodge scurvy, which is how those seafaring Brits got their moniker: 'Limey'.
Mix it with rosemary, clary sage, neroli, citronella, lavender, basil, or black pepper for symphonic fragrances. Also excellent for aromatherapy, body care, hair care, and cold process/melt and pour soap making.

WARNING: CITRUS OILS AND PHOTOTOXICITY
Exercise caution when using citrus essential oils (e.g. lemon, lime, bergamot, grapefruit) due to potential phototoxicity. These oils contain chemicals that react to sunlight or UV rays, leading to skin sensitivity and increased risk of sunburn/irritation. To avoid phototoxic reactions, dilute safely and avoid direct sunlight/UV rays on skin for 12-18 hours post-application. Consider using in products not applied to sun-exposed skin. For sensitive skin/prone to sunburn, do a patch test before using. Discontinue use if adverse reactions occur.
