- Grapefruit Pink Oil is Cold Pressed from the fresh peel of the fruit.
- Grapefruit is a cultivated tree over 10 meters tall with glossy leaves and large yellow fruits. It is believed to be derived from the shaddock (Citrus grandis).
- Grapefruit is native to tropical Asia and the West Indies; cultivated in California, Florida, Brazil and Israel.
- Some oils are produced from the remains of the fruit and peel after the juice has been used; however, this produces an oil of inferior quality in comparison to using the fresh peel.

Exercise caution when using citrus essential oils (e.g. lemon, lime, bergamot, grapefruit) due to potential phototoxicity. These oils contain chemicals that react to sunlight or UV rays, leading to skin sensitivity and increased risk of sunburn/irritation. To avoid phototoxic reactions, dilute safely and avoid direct sunlight/UV rays on skin for 12-18 hours post-application. Consider using in products not applied to sun-exposed skin. For sensitive skin/prone to sunburn, do a patch test before using. Discontinue use if adverse reactions occur.
